RIAUPULP TEAMS UP WITH BANK SYARIAH MANDIRI TO EMPOWER SMEs
PT Riau Andalan Pulp and Paper (Riaupulp) said it had teamed up with bank syariah mandiri pangkalan Kerinci to provide venture and investment capital for small and medium enterprises (SMEs).
PT Riau Andalan Pulp and Paper (Riaupulp) said in a statement in Jakarta, Indonesia on Wednesday that it had signed a loan agreement with Bank Syariah Mandiri Pangkalan Kerinci on the provision of two water trucks with a capacity of 20.000 liters for CV Langgam Pratiwi Pratama, accompany that received development assistance from CSR PT Riau Andalan Pulp and Paper (Riaupulp), on Jan. 18. 2007.
“The signing of the agreement as a tangible form of our social care and responsibility in form of our social care and responsibility in our efforts to financially empower the people living around PT Riau Andalan Pulp and Paper (Riaupulp) operational site,” said the company’s director for corporate social responsibility (CSR) division Amru Mahalli.

Throught the cooperation agreement, PT Riau Andalan Pulp and Paper (Riaupulp) partners can receive job orders from PT Riau Andalan Pulp and Paper (Riaupulp) without the worry of running out of capital. “Through the cooperation, all of PT Riau Andalan Pulp and Paper (Riaupulp) partners can raise their economic level,” said the company’s public relation manager, Troy Pantouw.
Currently, has 85 partners, with 104 working contracts and 1.303 employees in operation of PT Riau Andalan Pulp and Paper (Riaupulp)
